Here are some strategies that can help with self-acceptance: Focus on your strengths and avoid blaming yourself for things beyond your control. * Forgive yourself for your mistakes. * Reflect on your habitual attitude toward yourself and try to be more gentle. * Acknowledge and celebrate your positive qualities and achievements. * Practice mindfulness. What does self-acceptance mean to you? Living in peacefully in a difficult environment  * Stop fighting the situation; see it with another perspective. * Write out the key tasks you wish to complete today, what good things happened that you’re grateful for, and/or what you’re looking forward to. This can help you to feel “too preoccupied” with your own agenda to engage with the other person’s priorities. * Take time for venting, venting can save you from re-hashing the day’s events over and over again in your head. * Engage in relaxation techniques What are other ways we could make ourselves feel happier in a difficult environment? Reinventing Who We Think We Are We may have to change who we are as a result of loss. Things we learnt may no longer be applicable, and we may have to start anew since what we had may no longer exist. It seems easier to stay in our comfort zone rather than stepping outside of it and taking a (fair) risk when we get overly comfortable in any aspect of our lives.  How would you deal with loss like for example your partnership or career?
