Our community respects diverse perspectives and choices. 3. No Shaming or Discrimination: Prohibit any posts that involve shaming, discrimination, or derogatory language towards individuals, religious groups, or spiritual beliefs. Promote an inclusive and accepting environment. 4. Focus on Personal Experiences: Encourage members to share their personal experiences and insights related to spirituality and religion, emphasizing the impact on their lives rather than making sweeping judgments or condemnations. Moderate with Sensitivity: Exercise moderation with a sensitive and understanding approach. When removing posts, provide a clear explanation to the member and offer guidance on how they can rephrase or refocus their discussion in a more constructive manner. 5. Feedback and Appeals: Allow members to provide feedback on moderation decisions through the forum@7cups.com email or messaging the admin, @CheeryMango directly for those who believe their posts were unjustly removed. 6. Is religion really the answer?

...See more I've been muslim all my life but recently i've started to question my religion. I was raised in an islamic school with muslim friends and ngl i had a wonderful experience but all we were taught was about history and rules rules rules... buncha rules. Sometimes i would see a lot of islamophobes trying to make islam look bad online and as wrong as they are i realised i dont even know what to say in response, i dont know how to defend against their accusations. Their questions make me wonder why does islam allow certain things to happen. And when i try to look for answers to trivial questions i dont feel satisfied with what i find which makes me doubt myself a little. I just feel super out of touch with islam rn and having a family that traumatizes you for not being religious doesn't make it easier.  So yeah if there's any muslims that wanna reach out to me or just anyone who have similar experiences do let me know <3

...See more want to share one of my writing with you all. we not share most them. but seeing it christmas time and this a Christmas one. we going to share it. we hope that ok. Meaning of Christmas It that time of year, Christmas is here. Now the truth of Christmas happened long ago with Jesus Christ birth. See it not just about that day long ago, it so much more. The birth of Jesus was the start, but not the full story. we as sinners were separated from Father God due to sin. He had to turn His back to us. we due to our sinful nature turned our backs on Him. The relationship was blocked,we could not work our way to heaven at all. but the birth of Jesus was the start to the hope for all of us. It was promise long before it happened. As the birth of Jesus is about His mission, He came to die to save them by faith that would accepted Him. He walked with us lived among us fully God and fully man. He did not sin at all lived a perfected life as a man. Then He layed His life down on cross that restored our way back to being able to have a Relationship with Father God. From the manger to the blood shed on the cross, a amazing thing happened. The manger lead to the cross. His blood shed on a cross. His death was not the end at all, as He three days rose from the tomb. defected death once for all. redeeming all who will believe on His name, repenting of their sins. look do you see the cross that restored us to Father God. Now due to the birth, death of Jesus Christ and His rising from the tomb. we have away to be restored to right standing with Father God. so remember the manger was just the beginning of His mission to redeem us and restore us to Father God. He is the only way to Father God. He restore us due to He fulfilled the law, that could not save us. will you walk a life of following Jesus Christ. Accepting the gift of grace given to as many as will believe on His name. Blood of Jesus is only thing that can buy us back from the evil one. He is the only one who can save us. so when you think of the manger, think of the cross too. as the manger was the beginning to the cross, His blood shed for us. perfected lamb of God, He lay down His life on the cross to save as many that will accepted Him. Only His perfected blood could every pay the price for our sins. Grace is what He offers to anyone who will believe in their heart on His name. He is only way, He is the only true way to a restore relationship to Father God. So as you think of Christmas are you accepting the greatest gift of all. That is the gift of grace by His birth, life living among us without sinning. His died on the cross, His blood shed for us. then His rising from death to life again. Perfected gift, only perfected gift ever given to mankind. Will you open this perfected gift , then use this perfected gift. As a gift given without being opened is of no use at all. Open this gift that was given to us at Christmas, long ago. As the manger lead to the cross, then to the open tomb. That when one accepted this perfected gift by grace given to us. One get the only true freedom from spiritual death. Believe and accepted this perfected gift, given to us as a tiny baby. The truth of Christmas time is within His mission here on earth. That was to died on the cross and rise from the tomb. The mission to make away for us to be in right standing with Father God. Our God living and active within each one who will believe on His name, repent of ones sins. So you can have life everlasting through Jesus Christ. Christmas time a time to remember all that Jesus Christ did for us. by stormie and paws

...See more TW Mental Health / Abusive Relationship I’ve been with my partner for a little over a year, it started out pretty good, but it’s become really nasty the last few months, to the point that I’m scared. They’ve had opportunities (much more than I have mind you) to access mental health supports, and is already connected but refuses to use them. They’d rather blame everything on the stars, deities, and spirituality. Every bird, every single thing I drop on the floor, even abusive episodes they’d rather blame on the stars than take accountability for or just accept as is. It was one thing when it was to deal with their own struggles, but now it’s being used to excuse their abusive behaviour towards me, and they’re trying to force his beliefs on me even though Ive expressed multiple times in the past (politely) that it makes me uncomfortable and negatively impacts MY mental health. I consider myself spiritual, as I’m a reconnecting native and I do find certain practices helpful, and I’m quite intuitive. I don’t like talking down on others if it’s not hurting anyone, but his are and I’m at a loss, been feeling like I’m surrounded by a lot of negative energy claiming to be “healing” and “feminine” energy. Anyone else have really negative experiences with people that claim the be “witches” but just learned everything on ***/online and rolled with it?

...See more "I'm gonna sing in the middle of the storm. Louder and louder, You're gonna hear my praises roar. Up from the ashes, hope will arise. Death is defeated, the King is alive” The song is about using prayer and worship as a weapon to overcome fear and sickness. The lyrics convey that no matter what you are facing, you can raise a Hallelujah and watch the darkness flee! Stay strong! And raise a Hallelujah. God is with you!
Back to church

...See more I went to church for the first time in over 5 years today. I also had my first communion in that time and as an adult. The community was really welcoming and supportive. This feels like a really positive experience and I’d like to keep coming back for more than service. The emphasis on growth and acceptance was appreciated. Below is an excerpt from today. Romans 8:9 says, "You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ". Controlled by the Spirit" means to be guided and directed by the Holy Spirit, allowing its influence to govern your thoughts, actions, and decisions, essentially living a life aligned with God's will as opposed to your own desires or impulses; this concept is often referenced in the Bible, particularly in Romans 8 where it contrasts living "by the flesh" with living "by the Spirit.".

...See more Ever since a very early age, I was taught to be honest.  Does that mean I'm always as honest as I should be?  I don't go around telling lies, but their have been times where I would be silent, and even silence can be considered to be a lie. Honestly I hate Christian positivity.  Whenever I read it, and the positive scriptures they post, my stomach starts to turn.  I feel like i'm not saved at all because I feel like I can't measure up. I listen to the old Bible Experience mp3s at work.  I have done this for years, and through that method, I've been able to get through the entire Bible multiple times, which wouldn't have been possible if I was just reading it off the page.  I have a learning disability called (ADHD/ADD)  and I have some eye problems.  The muscles in my eyes don't work together like they should.  It has been this way my entire 45 years of life.  So, sometimes I have done eye exercises that can help some, and there are prisms in my glasses that help with this.  But it does still seem to effect how long I am able to focus.  When I do read a book, I first get myself all worked up, and then I force myself to read it.  In doing so, my heart rate increases.  And something just comes over me, and brute force my way through it.  It is not an enjoyable experience, but I get the job done. Going back the Bible thing.  The way I listen to my Bible, is I start in Genesis, and then day by day I keep going.  I think I listen for about hour a day.  It depends.  But the idea is to keep going until I'm in Revelation and once that is done then I repeat the process.  It takes me about a year to complete it. The goal is to allow the Holy Spirit, to use the words I'm listening to, to speak to my heart and mind.  While I get the gist of things.  Often times the old testament prophecies go over my head.  Normally I don't worry about it because if I need to understand it, I'm counting on the Holy Spirit to help me with that.  What I don't understand is how the positive minded Christians quote the book of Isaiah a lot.  Whenever I listen to it, the gist I get is Judgment Judgment Judgment.  I'm a strong believer in context.  The context tells you the purpose of the passages. Positive Christians seem to always isolate out the most positive passages, and verses. Whatever sounds encouraging that is what they hold onto.   Somehow I don't feel like this is reality.  The Bible has some nice stuff in it, but it also has some dark and strange stuff in it too.  As a believer I want balance.  I want to understand things for the way they are, and not the way I want them to be. The blog hasn't gone the direction I wanted it to go. I don't understand the Christian happiness that I see in my own life.  I'm sure a lot of these people would say it depends on what you focus on.  When I compare my life to theirs, what I see is, people who are working a job that they like, around people they like, and are married and have kids.  They got a Church they are involved with, and they go on vacations.  Where as I'm a lot different, I have a learning disability, that causes me to struggle in many areas, and I work a job that i don't like, and I'm not around people like myself.  I don't got a Church.  I'm not married and have kids.  I don't go on vacations.  I don't have friends.  So when people act like it is all about your focus, I feel something inside of me tighten up.  How did I get into this mess?  I'm not going to explain my unfortunate history in this blog.  But if you look around my profile you can find other posts where I share what happened to me., and what is happening to me.  As far as I'm concerned, it all makes logical sense.

...See more Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, 'For by grace (grace meaning undeserved favour 🙂 it means we don’t deserve it, but we get it) you have been saved through faith (believing), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' It’s good news! 😃 ❤I am bringing my wonderful friend a gift. But the question how do you “reach out and take it” and “why do I need the gift”? Here is my answer: In an illustration I can put it like this: I am Emma, and I am standing in front of you with a gift. 💝 😃 I want to give it to you! 😃 will you say, “Okay, thank you, but I will first pay 1 million dollars for it and then I can take it?” I’ll be sad because I am giving you a gift out of love. 😔 Or say I say here is a gift and you say, “Okay, just wait give me a few years and I will do some good things for people then I will take the gift?” Or what if I say, please take the gift, just BELIEVE 😉 reach out your hands and take it, you are special to me. And you say “Sorry, wow, it is such an amazing gift, I will first get baptised and give my testimony and then I will take it, I also want to ask my pastor if he approves of me and the church to accept me, just wait” .. 😢 or what if yous ay I will go to the counselor and then tell him or her my sin and then I will take the gift of salvation. 😦 "For there is one God, and there is one mediator (middle Man) between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time." 1 Timothy 1: 5-6 put anyone else between yourself and God to reach God whether it be mother Mary, an idol, a stone, a chair, or a counselor is idolatory. Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, 'For by grace (grace meaning undeserved favour 🙂 it means we don’t deserve it, but we get it) you have been saved through faith (believing), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' It is so simple, and I tend to make it so complicated with all my fears. 😒 So here is just to put it into context: We have broken God’s laws. This is what makes us sinners. Right? Me as Emma has sinned, you have sinned everyone has sinned. Think about the most righteous person you know on the earth…YES s/he has sinned. 😁 😮 Romans 2:23, “For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” And here comes something similar to the law of gravity. It is a law that God has made from the beginning that can’t be changed. Romans 6:23a, “For the wages (consequence, salary) of sin is death…” Remember in the garden Adam and Eve, God said: “If you eat of this fruit, you will surely die.” So, it is a law from the beginning: sin=death. That is why in the Old Testament the priests sacrificed animals and “scapegoats” for the sins of the people to satisfy the “equation” of sin=death. And in the New Testament, Jesus, the Lamb of God died for our sin. See? 😁 Carrying on from the last verse: Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” BUT there is GOOD NEWS: The Lord Jesus Christ paid for our sins. The Bible says: Romans 5:8, “But God commended (showed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died FOR us.” See? Satisfying the “equation” of sin=death. Romans 6:23b, “…but the GIFT of God is eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord.” In Romans 10:13 there is a promise and if God makes a promise, it is NEVER broken: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved.” What do you think? It’s good news right? 😁💚 And here is the “how to reach out and take the gift”: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3: 16 Simply believe and take 🫴💝the gift.

...See more Deep down inside of me, I feel like I'm made for ***.   Life doesn't seem to have any meaning.  I've been through a lot.  And currently I feel like I'm not improving.  I have a gut feeling that is because I was created to suffer.  Do know this feeling?  You won't find this in the Bible.  My feelings go contrary to what I believe in my head to be right.  Get right with Jesus and the promise is Heaven.  Yet deep in my emotions I feel the opposite, right now.

Feeling lost

...See more I feel like I am stuck in life. Everyone is moving and doing amazing things in life and I am so lost. I want to trust god that he has a plan for me but I just don’t know. I don’t know if the life I am leading is mine. I am not the greatest Christian. I am not disciplined and pick and choose when being a Christian is convenient to me. how do I change? How do I stay disciplined and devoted to god? I feel like I have been waiting to hear god in my life. To hear him tell me what I need to do in life. What path to follow. I should trust god but why do I feel so lost and empty. I keep telling myself that god is the answer and that if I become a good Christian he will answer all my prayers. But I have been failing. I feel like I am disappointing god and that’s why I can’t see him in my life. I don’t blame him though. I haven’t been a good daughter to him so why would he show up? Why would he answer my prayers or give me peace? im sorry
