We invite ALL persons to join us in worship, celebrating the Sacraments, accompanying one another on the spiritual journey, sharing our gifts, and working together to fulfill the mission of Lyonsville church.
Lyonsville is non-creedal; there is no statement of beliefs to which people must agree in order to be a member. We encourage people to learn, ask questions, and reflect on their own beliefs in the light of the scriptures, reason, tradition, and human experience.
Communion. Our church practices open Communion — we offer Communion to all who wish to know the presence of Christ and to share in the community of God’s people. Even young children are invited to share in Communion if their parents believe they have some understanding of the special nature and meaning of Communion. Communion is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, on special Christian holidays, and with the ill and homebound.
Praising God Through Music. Everyone is welcome to join in the joy and fellowship of offering praise to God through music. Speak to our Pastor or Worship Artists to learn about our choir and other musical opportunities.
Worship. We have one worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. It usually lasts about one hour. Children are welcome in worship (and we know they may need to wiggle!). Children are welcome to participate in the service in the pews or from the “prayground” in the entryway.
Hello Lyonsville Congregational! I live near your church and wonder if your church has easy access for a visitor in a three wheel disability scooter to attend your Sunday service?
Jeff,
We do not have easy access for a mobility scooter. At this point we only have a chairlift to get people up the stairs.
