When our Advent waiting concludes, we gather the evening before Christmas Day to celebrate the birth of Christ!

Our Christmas Celebration continues through January 3.

Online Christmas Eve Worship – 3:30 – 4:15pm

This year we are protecting the health and safety of our congregation and community by holding an online Christmas Eve service. The bulletin and information on joining will be available on our homepage. We will light the Christ Candle in the traveling Advent Candle, which will then be taken to the church’s outdoor vigil.

The service will conclude in time for those who are participating in the 5pm outdoor vigil in the church parking lot to get out the door on time! If dangerous weather keeps us from holding outdoor vigil, this service will be extended to 4:30pm and will include lighting candles at home, singing Silent Night, and sharing in Holy Communion.

Outdoor Evening Vigil – Spots open at 7pm

There will be two vigils, at 5:00pm and 7:00pm. As of December 21, five first-come-first-serve spots are still open at 7:00pm. Register today to reserve that spot.

With the assistance of a fire pit and two large outdoor heaters, we will gather for a safe and meaningful in-person vigil in the church parking lot. By household, we will light our candles from the Christ candle, with the choice of entering the chapel or staying outdoors. We will then share in the beautiful Christmas Hymn “Silent Night” and then partake in Holy Communion together. Surrounded with Christmas decorations, luminaries, and the warmth and light of fire, we will celebrate the birth of Jesus.

When you register you will be asked to indicate time preferences and all registrants will be given one weeks notice about the time of the vigil they will attend. We will make every effort to honor preferences and make requested changes. Spots are guaranteed for all who register by December 15. After that we cannot guarantee that spots will be available.

Participants must check in, wear masks over the nose and mouth, and distance with those outside their household group. Please also plan to dress warm!

If weather prevents us from holding this service, we will include Silent Night and Communion in the 3:30pm online service.

Sunday December 27 – The First Sunday of Christmas
A National Christmas Pageant

In church, Christmas lasts for 12 days. So we continue the celebration on Sunday, December 27 by participating in a national Christmas Pageant worship service of the United Church of Christ.
