Life is hard and it's important that we're kind to ourselves. In the hustle and bustle of day-to-day challenges our achievements and gratitude can become easily clouded. This month we are going to try that little bit harder to acknowledge and celebrate everything that we are grateful for. How do I participate? 1. Every day for the month of August revisit this thread and list one new thing that you are grateful for. It can be something small like developing the strength to achieve a goal, or it could be something bigger and more meaningful. The possibilities are endless! 2. ...See more So, yesterday I was thinking about doing some exercise and jogging because I noticed that I'm beginning to start bed rotting again. And let me tell you it's hard when I started it and didn't stopped it, because bed rotting can lead up to me overthinking and me being all gloomy.  My semester ended 2 weeks ago and I told myself that after my semester I deserve some break, sleep watch my favorite tv shows and more. Then yesterday I just decided that the next morning (today) I will try to Jog. And let me tell you this I had fun jogging by myself and with a friend, I did 10,000 steps this morning just wow. Juts wanna share this little achievement of mine and I hope to continue this.

...See more I am unhappy with the way I look, I’ve gone down some bad paths trying to ‘fix’ it but I want to do it the right way. I love myself and how I look but I would love to lose weight cause ik I’d be EVEN MORE attractive if I did. How do I get into it? I’m also on the heavier side some sometimes doing a workout will genuinely hurt and idk the difference between good hurt and bad hurt. Any advice or ideas , even kind words is greatly appreciated!!

...See more Hi everyone, I have noticed that we want to reach for the moon every time we want to start exercising, we wish to go from no running to 5 miles a day and we end up not even walking. The traditional "hour-long gym slog" just doesn't work for everyone. Enter the exercise snack: quick bursts of high-intensity activity scattered throughout your day. These aren't mini-workouts designed to replace regular exercise, but rather additional movement bites with surprising benefits. Snacking Made Simple: * Start with 3-5 exercises, performing them for 30-60 seconds each with short rest periods. * Repeat the circuit 2-3 times, adjusting intensity and duration based on your fitness level. * Play with the "menu"! Squats, lunges, pushups, jumping jacks, and burpees are all great options. Low-effort exercise snacks Not everyone is physically or mentally able to do high intesnity exercises. So here are some otther more doable examples of exercise snacks: * Take 100 steps every 30 minutes if you are doing any sitting or standing work.  * Go for a 5 minute walk after every meal * Go for a 10 minute walk first thing in the morning * Take the stairs/park the car a little further from your place of business.  Remember: Listen to your body, modify exercises as needed, and most importantly, have fun! Meditative practices that don’t require you to sit still Meditating doesn’t always have to be done sitting or lying in a quiet place. Some people have an easier job slowing down their mind when their body is moving. Here are some meditative practices that many people find more accessible than traditional meditation. You can still reap the benefits of getting your brain into a meditative state, without fighting the internal battle of sitting still with your thoughts. 3 moving meditations Walking meditation: As you walk, count your steps. Stepping five steps as you inhale and then five steps as you exhale. Count your steps while doing this breath work. Yes, focusing on each step is a form of meditation. You're doing it! Nature meditation: While you’re outside walking or sitting on a park bench, under a tree, or on a picnic blanket, focus on something in nature that catches your eye. Maybe it’s a bird, a tree or flowers. Laser focus your mind to hone in on the details. What color is the flower, how many leaves are on it, can you smell it? Ask yourself questions like this to center your mind. Gratitude meditation while doing chores: While you’re cleaning dishes or doing laundry, use each item you’re holding to prompt you to give gratitude for something in your life. As you wash a bowl, you could think, “I am grateful for my hands allowing me to do this chore!” or as you fold a pair of pants you could think, “I am grateful for my legs that allow me to walk!"
