The course is for members only. Not for listeners! The goal of this course is to understand and know the basics of practicing compassion and help & support our members to have a compassionate experience in the group support chat rooms. This course allows you to foster healthy conversations and connections as well as be a compassionate, loving, supportive, and amazing member of the chat rooms and the community. Who can participate? Any member can take this quiz. Even if you are an experienced member, then also welcome to take part in it. Because we are all learning and practicing compassion. How can a member participate? * Once you have completed the course, please let us know in the comments of this post. * Also, tag any 3 members you know to invite them to take the quiz as well. * Your responses to the course will be graded and if you successfully passed it, you will receive, “Compassion Hero” badge. * If you didn’t pass, that’s okay. ...See more The hardest part of the journey is sometimes the beginning, and this is especially true of our newbies. We as a community have the power and ability to ensure they get properly oriented and supported so that their journey is smooth. I have been actively contacting newbies over the past couple of months and the results have been inspiring. Roughly 80% of those I sent a personal message responded to me and very appreciatively! That's a really big deal because those people have a much higher chance of being retained (retained = staying on 7 Cups). But I need help! So it's with great excitement, that I announce the revamped relaunch of the Welcome Committee! Through this initiative, we can meet our newcomers at the start with a friendly welcome (think hospitality, a greeter, etc.). We will also provide guidance and resources they need to navigate their first steps. The tasks are simple. PMing brand new members off a list, saying hi, giving resources, answering their questions and sending follow-up PMs to make sure their transition is complete. There's a few requirements just to be sure Welcomers are familiar with the basics of our platform. Requirements: ✔ You must be a Verified Listener (find out how to get verified here) [https://www.7cups.com/forum/listenerjourney/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/GetVerifiedon7Cups_290064/] ✔ 25+ chats ✔ No behavior reports (BPS) within 3 months ✔ Maintenance criteria: 2-3 hours a month to dedicate to this project ✔ Adaptability to changes! This is a new team so we're still figuring things out and like to try new things. ✔ Note: The team uses a google spreadsheet to copy/paste names and log PMs so you'll need access to a computer/laptop device. We apologize for the inconvenience! I wanted to take a quick moment to acknowledge the incredible work that each one of you has been doing for the Welcome Committee. Your efforts have made a significant impact on helping new members feel comfortable and engaged within our lovely and wholesome community, and I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication that this team consistently shows. As we and our team continues to grow its important to evolve our processes within the Welcome Committe to better serve our wholesome community, by doing this it makes the whole welcoming process easier for all of us. With what in mind, there are a few important updates to our member welcoming process that simplifies things up and keep everything runnning smoothly. Please take a moment to go through the details below and if you have any questions or feedback please let me know by leaving me a pm <3.       ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯Awesome Pawesome Announcements✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰ 1. Reduced quota To accommodate our growing team and make it easier for everyone to enjoy the awesome pawesome process of PMing, we have reduced the quota, whoop whoop 🥳🎈! For adults, it's now 60 PMs which is the equivalent of 30 members welcomed each month. For teens, it's 30 aka 15 members welcomed. Hopefully, when broken down like this, it feels more manageable. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with Heather225 or kenzolena <3 2. Automatic dashboard                                                                                                                        We’ve made some awesome pawesome changes to the dashboard to make it more automated, 🥳😁! Now, when you input the usernames of the individuals that you want to welcome to our clawsome community, the dashboard will automatically generate the necessary links and other information, which is awesome right . There's no need to manually add "7cups.com/@" anymore—it updates automatically as soon as you paste the usernames into Column B. 3. Undo feature Undo Feature on the dashboard: If you make a mistake while editing or inputting usernames, you can use Control + Z to undo any changes in Column C and restore the dashboard to its previous state. 4. Removal of forms and section Additionally, we’ve streamlined the dashboard by removing the Self-Care/Removal form and the Q&A/Communication section. This change was made to simplify the workflow and focus on the most relevant features, ensuring a more user-friendly experience, the self-care/removal and the Q&A/Communication section may be added again in the future 😮😊. ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯November total of the Welcome Commitee✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰ This month we reached 3962 newbies! In total since our launch in July, we have reached a whopping 19874 members! Thanks to you, we’ve noticed newbies sticking around longer. That’s a huge win! ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯Welcome Committee December goal✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰      December goal! In general, we see about 50-100 new members on an hourly basis. If you think about it that can be anywhere between 1200 and 2400 newcomers a day and our objective as the WC is to reach as many of them as we can! It’s my hope that we can boost our welcomes month over month. 🚀 If we combine our powers, can we reach 7000 newbies (i.e. 7000 PMs sent)? ...See more Since our launch in mid-July, the Welcome Committee has been at the forefront of 7 Cups, warmly greeting new members and making them feel at home from the very beginning of their journey with us! Thanks to them, we have reached 15000+ (15k!!!!) new members! In our efforts to continue to simplify the process and make it as easy as possible for the team, we combined the Responses column so instead of having to mark if they replied to both outreach messages, you only need to mark for any you receive. We decided to do this because we notice a majority of members don’t usually reply to the 1st PM so now you can mark just one column for any response from the member. There’s also now one column for the details of their response/how they responded. Please look and ask questions. 2. Don’t forget last month’s newbies! We’ll keep the former month tab visible for a week or so so that everyone can finish following up and documenting their responses. ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯October total of the Welcome Commitee✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰ October total! This month we reached 3805 newbies! In total since our launch in July, we have reached a whopping 15376 members! Thanks to you, we’ve noticed newbies sticking around longer. I wanted to take a quick moment to acknowledge the incredible work that each one of you has been doing for the Welcome Committee. Your efforts have made a significant impact on helping new members feel comfortable and engaged within our lovely and wholesome community, and I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication that this team consistently shows. As we and our team continues to grow its important to evolve our processes within the Welcome Committe to better serve our wholesome community, by doing this it makes the whole welcoming process easier for all of us. With what in mind, there are a few important updates to our member welcoming process that simplifies things up and keep everything runnning smoothly. Please take a moment to go through the details below and if you have any questions or feedback please let me know by leaving me a pm <3.              ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯Awesome Pawesome Announcements✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰ 1. The Member Welcome Pack has served us well over the years, however, it's a bit long and can be difficult for members to ingest. One of our Ambassadors created a fantastic guide that presents an overview of our platform and includes the most commonly requested information: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M53Nm5-pbtxx2_jKfXYgYzo3NgXxjNfMwfzVSRC1rZg/edit?usp=sharing It's a quick, easy, straightforward, and visually friendly read with links to all the appropriate areas. I’d like to ask everyone to please switch to distributing this guide. I have updated our docs to link it but if you need the old Welcome Pack still linked let me know! 2. Also, you don’t have to note it on the tracking sheets whenever you share it because we must always be sharing this resource with every member we welcome. 3. Item Removed or Not Found: And one last thing regarding logging: whenever you get a page that says “Item Removed/Not Found” the member’s account is inactive. You may see this when you first PM or when you go to follow-up. There’s a selection for this to document it on either of the columns: “What response did you get after the first message?” or “Did they reply?” Once the member's account goes inactive, you don't need to check back in and can leave the rest of the columns blank.                                     ⊱ ─────────────── {.⋅ ✯ ⋅.} ─────────────── ⊰ Thank you all for bearing with us as we grow this fabulous team, and please do share any feedback with me on how we can improve our wholesome team along the way!
